Product
Three principles: single hub, local-first privacy, modular experience
Aurora One brings scattered windows into one hub, keeps personal data on your computer, and lets you show only the sections you need.
Single center
My day screen, calendar and alarms, browser, WhatsApp and Discord, YouTube and Twitch, resource usage and backups are in the same left menu. You drag and sort the sections and find everything with Ctrl+K.
Compact view: clock, weather, resources and media control in a small window above the game
Mini player: video on top of other windows, without page reload
Split workspace: use two sections side by side
Local-first privacy
Notes, calendar, party and earnings records, bookmarks and backups remain on your computer. No usage statistics or automatic error reports are sent. The addresses that the application speaks to are listed within the application.
Secrets are encrypted with Windows DPAPI only connected to your account
WhatsApp and media services run in their own separate profiles
Tasks that use the network—license checks, weather, and updates—are clearly identified
Modular experience
You remove the part you don't want to see from the menu. You customize the experience with 23 color palettes, focus and resource profiles, accessibility options and shortcuts.
Inactive sections are put to sleep while media playback continues
Ready profiles set section order and measurement targets with a single selection
Beta and Coming badges clearly tell you what's ready

My day and home screen: package comparison per feature
Badges are awarded based on source code and test records. A planned feature is not considered Beta just because it is written in the documentation. We don't promise dates.
Available
Feature that works on the current release source, passes automated tests, and has sufficient evidence of acceptance. 53 features
Beta
Coded and testable; live adoption, hardware diversity or stability verification has not yet been completed. 8 features
Coming Soon
Feature in the roadmap that has not yet been completed as a working slice. No date is promised. 42 features
Experimental

Features currently in Beta and Experimental
Coded and testable. It will switch to Available once live acceptance, hardware diversity or stability verification is completed.
The roadmap brings 43 features together across seven hubs. Each one is explained in the catalog with its own limits: BIOS updates are never installed, unavailable sensors are never invented, location is not retained, and AI never acts without approval.
Where does your data stay and when does it appear on the network?
Actual data stream instead of absolute promises. The following three columns summarize the behavior verified from the source code; details on the Privacy and Security pages.
What's left on your device
Settings, notes, calendar, alarms, party and earnings records, bookmarks, and backups are kept as JSON files under the Windows user profile on the computer.
License key, YouTube API key and other secrets are encrypted with Windows DPAPI so that only that Windows account can open them; the log files themselves are not encrypted.
The screenshot, OCR result, batch images, and diagnostic package remain on your computer. It only comes out if you copy or save it.
The app does not have usage statistics, analytics or automatic error reporting.
Requires networking
License verification: the license key and a randomly generated device ID are sent to the licensing service. It is refreshed approximately every 60 seconds at startup and while the application is open.
Update check: new version information is read from the GitHub release address; Only the product name and version are sent. The package is downloaded with your approval, its size, SHA-256 value and publisher signature are verified.
Weather: coordinate rounded to city level goes to Open-Meteo. An IP-based service or Windows location permission is used for the approximate location, and the name you type in the city search is sent.
Connection quality: small measurement requests are sent to the modem and the public destination you choose; no data is sent. VPN provisioning reads the public server list at startup.
Third-party services
WhatsApp, Discord, YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Netflix and similar services are opened on their own pages with WebView2 in Aurora One. You type your login information on the service page, Aurora One does not store passwords and does not read message content.
Cookies and sessions of these services are kept by WebView2 in profile folders on its computer; messaging, streaming platforms, and the browser run in separate profiles, while subscription streaming services run in a common profile. The services' own data collection behavior is governed by their privacy policies.
One-click VPN uses public VPN Gate volunteer servers with Windows' own VPN client; traffic passes through these servers, and the app recommends not doing sensitive work such as banking while the VPN is on.
Update packages are verified by publisher signature and installed with your approval. Customer plans show only documented features intended for release; internal development tools stay outside the public catalog.
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64)Setup requests Windows 10 as the minimum version; 32-bit Windows is not supported. ARM64 devices have not been tested.
.NET
.NET Framework 4.8Comes with Windows 10/11. The installation package also does not include.
Web parts
Microsoft Edge WebView2 RuntimeRequired for browser, WhatsApp, media and similar sections. Not included in the package; Otherwise, the application will open again and remain closed until the web parts are installed.
Installation
Protected folder under Program Files; admin approval once during installationDaily use is with normal user authorization. Certain actions, such as VPN, on-screen keyboard, and updating, also require Windows administrator approval.
Link and license
Active internet connection and license keyUser edition verifies the license online at startup and running; Use without internet is not supported.
Processor, RAM, disk
Not SpecifiedThe number is not given here because the minimum hardware value is not defined in the source and release reports.
Support
Within the application, each section has a "?" The button (F1) explains what that section does and the usage steps; Ctrl+K general search finds partitions, settings, and records.
The Problem check under Settings › System performs an eight-item local check; Error center and Diagnostic package collects the information required for support in a single text and does not send it anywhere by itself.
Updates are installed in-app, by verifying the publisher signature and with your approval; Before updating, a backup of the records is taken.
Support channel and contact address will be added before publication; There is no address on this page yet.

Services such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Twitch run on their own pages and keep their own cookies. Details on the Privacy page.
Does it work without internet?
User edition verifies the license online at startup and running. If there is no internet, the main window will not open. Therefore, use without internet is not supported.
